About me
Rob Ford serves as Managing Partner and Executive Vice President of the Corporate Communications
division and leads 5W's Crisis Communications practice across all agency divisions. He specializes in crisis
strategy and brand protection for high growth and well-established companies and has led response
around ransomware hacks, data breaches, product recalls, government investigations, high-stakes
litigation, complex transactions, and activist investor proxy fights involving major companies.
He developed 5W's crisis preparedness framework, advises c-suite leaders on crisis readiness and
response, oversees online reputation campaigns, and conducts media training for executives. He serves
as the primary engine for strategic direction and campaign management and specializes in high-level
media relations.
Prior to 5W, he worked in Public Affairs in Washington, D.C. where he coordinated issue advocacy
campaigns focused on federal and state legislation and regulation on behalf of Fortune 500 companies
and their executives as well as trade associations and non-profit organizations.
During that time, his advocacy efforts spanned many industries including telecom, agriculture, food
safety, biotech, retail, and defense. Rob's forte was directing real-time crisis response and management
and shaping public opinion at both the local and national levels.
Rob has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware.
